Why the Keilini won

I did not expect this result. I have installed enough cheap cameras to assume that a bulb camera is a compromise you tolerate rather than a device you like. The Keilini changed my mind in the first ten minutes, and the reason is boring: it worked immediately. I screwed it into a garage fixture, scanned a code, and the head was already sweeping the room before I had finished reading the leaflet.

The three Amazon units I tested alongside it all made me work. One refused to pair until I split my router's bands. One paired and then dropped off the network twice in the first evening. One arrived as a two-pack, which sounds generous until you realise you now own two cameras you do not fully trust instead of one you do.

What actually changed my behaviour was night footage. Colour night mode on the Keilini at fifteen feet gave me a face I could recognise and a jacket colour I could describe. Every grey infrared clip I have ever pulled off a budget camera has been useless for exactly that. Combined with alerts specific enough that I read them instead of swiping them away, it is the first camera in this price bracket that I left installed after the review ended.

The honest downside: you can only buy it from the official Keilini store, and the socket has to stay powered. Neither bothered me enough to change the ranking.
