Who we are
This site is an independent review project run by Marcus Hale, a licensed home-security installer with fourteen years of field experience fitting cameras, alarms and access control in homes and small businesses. Everything published here is written by a person, tested by a person, and signed with a name.
How we test
We buy or request the products, install them in a real home for at least three weeks, and log every motion event, false alert and dropout. The #1 pick is based on our own hands-on testing. Products ranked #2 to #5 are evaluated using live retailer product-page data — price, star rating, review volume and manufacturer specifications — captured on the date shown next to each price.
How we make money
We earn affiliate commissions when readers buy through links on this site. That includes the Amazon Associates Program and the affiliate programme of the brand ranked #1. Commissions never change a ranking, and we say so plainly on every page that contains a link.
Corrections
Prices and availability change constantly. If you spot a figure that no longer matches the retailer page, email us and we will re-check and update the snapshot.
